Adding modifiers

Modifiers allow you to customize your menu items by offering add-ons, size options, or special requests. This guide will walk you through creating modifiers to enhance your menu and provide a seamless ordering experience for your customers.

Log into the Menu Manager

1. Go to the Menu Manager. 

2. Enter your credentials and login.

Add a modifier

1. Select "Menus" from the left sidebar.

2. Click on the "Modifiers" tab.

3. Click the "Create modifier" button.

Define the modifier 

1. Enter a modifier prompt (e.g., "Select your toppings").

2. Input a description for your modifier prompt. (This is optional)

Configure selection settings

1. Enable the "Required" toggle if a selection is mandatory before the item is added to the basket.

2. Enable the "Allow multiple selection" toggle if customers can choose more than one option.

   • Set a selection maximum (e.g., up to 3 toppings for a burger).

Add modifier details 

1. Enter a name and price for each modifier option.

2. Add a JDE category for each modifier option.

Add more modifier details 

1. Click the three dots button to acces more modifier details.

2. Add calorie information.

3. Add a description for your modifier option.

Enable quantity selection (optional)

1. Turn on modifier quantity customization if customers can select multiple servings of the same option (e.g., 2 servings of onions, 1 of cheese in a burger).

2. Click on the "+" button to add another option.

3. Click the "Trash" button to remove an option or simply leave it blank.

Enable tax rate overwrite (optional)

1. Activate the tax rate overwrite if the modifier option requires a different tax rate than the default tax rate which is NOTAX.

2. Click on the dropdown menu and select the applicable tax rate.

Save your changes

1. Click "Save group" to save the modifier.
